Before Mark and I even went on the air today, we already had a good crowd, eagerly awaiting acoustic singer/songwriter from London, UK – Lee MacDougall!!!
We were kept very busy on today’s show and his fans were firing questions at him left, right and centre….of course I had a few of my own….as I always do!!!! Lol
I have to admit; before Lee came on the show I was very nervous. Of all the Indie artists we have had on this show, Lee MacDougall has so far been our biggest, with by far the biggest following and fan base!
I needn’t have worried. Lee came across as a very genteel guy and, being the same age as my own son, I felt very comfortable in his company. What a nice lad he is!!!
Once again, our guest had to join us at some unearthly hour of the morning However, unlike Donna Fullman last week, Lee was not hidden behind a fire door, though, he was armed with matchsticks and a bottle of rum!!!!
We had fans tuned in from all parts of the globe, Germany, Brazil, Vienna, The Netherlands, UK, New York, Indiana, Houston, Australia, Scandinavia and many more that we were unable to pinpoint! It was great to see so many tune in to support Lee!
26 year old Lee Macdougall is about to embark on his second tour of the USA, hence why we had to bring Lee on the show 2 weeks earlier He is leaving on 2nd August.
During the 2 hour show, Lee answered as many questions as he possibly could from his fans on Twitter!
He talked about some of his past shows, including a huge one he did in China!
Lee also talked about his forthcoming tour to the USA, his new EP, IF WALLS COULD TALK, and shared stories about some unusual gifts that fans have sent to him!
It’s hard to capture the show on my blog, and I would suggest that you listen to the podcast and hear just how awesome this guys really is. I tell you, this guy is going places!
When we have a guest on our show, we usually feature three of their songs, however, we had to make an exception with Lee today, as we had so many of his fans tuned in we snuck in a fourth!!!
The first song we played was SHE, which is my personal favourite. Lee explains on the podcast what this song is all about….and when you hear it…trust me – it will make you melt. He is such a gentleman. It’s no wonder he has so many female fans!!!
The second song we played was I DON’T BELIEVE YOU, ALISON, followed by FALLING IN LOVE FOR THE FIRST TIME. The last song we featured was THE STAR HOTEL. There is a very interesting story behind that place!!!!
LEE MACDOUGALL has a great web page for you to explore:
He has a very limited edition CD for sale on his web page with a signed poster…I actually got my order in today…so you better hurry once they are gone they are gone forever!
Lee also has a collection of great photos on his web page, well worth checking out also. He has been compared to a very young Rod Stewart, personally I think he is much better looking than Rod!
Lee also has the following social web pages:
As always, when I write about the show, there is always so much I would like to say but I really can’t capture the atmosphere of the show on here. So, PLEASE download the podcast!
Mark and I had a lot of fun today and would like to thank you, Lee, for being an awesome guest! We would like to wish you all the best for your forthcoming tour of the USA and Butterflies Radio will follow you as much as we can. Mark is going to try and catch you at your show in New York…if he makes it…..I want photos!!!
Thank you Lee!!
