Mark Marshall – Guest on Twitter Tuesday Live 26th July 2011

Ok, so this blog could get confusing – too many ‘Marks’ in this episode!!!!!

In September, 2010, Mark emailed me and asked me to listen to this great song that he had just added to the rotation (That’s Mark of Butterflies Radio) So, I listened to “Something to Believe”.  My first reaction was, “Whoa”! I thought it was fantastic! From that day, I wanted to find out more about this awesome musician called Mark Marshall!

I joined his web page and found out that he was a multi-talented musician that does everything himself!

Over the past 10 months I have been following Mark as much as I can and have been watching his music project unfold! I was really thrilled when he said that he would like to be a guest on our show!

On Episode 38 of  TWITTER TUESDAY LIVE we were  joined by MARK MARSHALL! It was great to see a nice crowd tune in live to support Mark as well. We had a lot of fun.

Mark talked about his music and, of course, explained all about his project 4, on which he has been working. He explained how he involves his fans who log into his web page by allowing them to listen to his work in progress, as I have been doing! Mark, my husband, is also a fan and really enjoyed what he had to tell the listeners today.

He was also kind enough to offer an EP to all the those that tuned in live and to those that listened to the podcast for a limited time!

We learned about his passion for radio, his awesome stand up desk (see photo below), his passion for music, the albums he is working on, and much more. Mark was very informative and interesting to listen to. The only way you can really understand what I’m trying to say in this blog is to download the podcast:

Mark’s stand up desk in his studio!

During the two hour show, we played several of Mark’s songs. Normally, we play 3 songs. However, Butterflies’ Mark wanted to play an extra song.  He and I couldn’t agree, so we each had to have our choice!

ANGELINA – the creative muse visits in a dream.

LET IT GO – admitting to oneself that this time, just loving the other person isn’t enough.

MISS DIRECTED 2011 – about a woman who is very bold and boisterous, but is obviously not connected to her heart.

SOMETHING TO BELIEVE – expresses my frustration about not feeling a spiritual connection to the universe, when many around me were.

(this is the song that I first heard and loved)

THE WAY WE LOVE – A ode to an amazing relationship.

(an awesome love song)
