It felt so good to be back on the air today! Mark and I both missed our weekly interactive show with everyone on Twitter!
Joining Mark and I in the Butterflies studio today was the beautiful and talented Zoe Ann, who joined us all the way from Dallas, Texas! You would never believe that this petite Texan could have such a powerful rocking voice!
Mark and I got a bit of a shock, though, when we asked Zoe her age! 15! We were speechless. Before the show we were saying that we thought she was around 18/19. What an awesome girl, and so mature for her age. Joining her on the show was her friend and guitarist, Hunter. He was not as chatty as Zoe, but then we found out this was his first interview with her! Hunter, you will learn to just butt in like Mark has to do with me!!!! Lol
This girl is going places! I will be so proud to say that we got to talk to Zoe when she was young and just starting out! She speaks with confidence and is so determined to get to where she wants to be. If she keeps doing what she is doing, she will!
I remember when Mark first put her song, LIPSTICK LIES, on the rotation. I was like, “wow” – awesome song!
Zoe gave us a bit of an insight into her life, the people that inspire her, her band, her manager, home, school etc. She mentioned about her visit to California where she will be working with DJ LETHAL “House of Pain” and the band Limp Bizkit. She is very excited about that!
Zoe brought along with her to the interview, Hunter, who is also 15 and Zoe’s very talented guitarist!
I can tell you the whole show went by so quickly. There was so much I forgot to mention. I didn’t even have time to play my “Song of the Week”! We had a great crowd live on the air to support them, which is always great to see!
You have to download the podcast and hear Zoe Ann and, of course Hunter for yourselves :
During the show we featured three of Zoe’s Songs, all of which are on our rotation and can be requested at anytime. As always we ask our guests to give us a bit of information about their songs, how they came about and what inspired them etc. Here are the three songs we featured today on the show:
This song’s message is that every hardship you go through in your life will make you stronger. I wrote it from personal experience dealing with a time in school where I was treated bad, but now it relates to any difficulty that I face.
I wrote this song about following your dreams. Even if someone say’s you can’t make it, keep focused on your dreams. Live out your someday!
This song is about a girl who just lives her life focusing on materialistic things and temporary situations. It’s about finding that you have to let those things go and live your life focused on your goals and dreams.
