Can you believe that April is nearly over!!! Whoa, the time is slipping past so fast already! We have another fun filled week this week on Butterflies Radio, so be sure to check out a few of them!
BUTTERFLIES RADIO is now playing some of the best independent artists on the web. We would like to encourage you to spread the word to everyone to tune into the station. Mark and I would love some feedback on what you hear. Add a link on your web page!
Returning for a second time to TWITTER TUESDAY LIVE is a great singer/songwriter from Atlanta SEAN WATERMAN so be sure to tune in on TUESDAY 24TH APRIL 8PM EST and we can also be heard at 11pm EST on http://www.kgup1065.com/
“A Brooklyn native by way of Atlanta, Sean Waterman has found his niche as the southern-based singer/songwriter with a sophomore EP to be released in August and a three-month tour starting this June.
His initial introduction to music was a little on the bitter side, as his mother wouldn’t let him quit his guitar lessons at age nine. Luckily, a relationship formed and by the age of seventeen Waterman began writing songs and performing at open mic nights while attending The Citadel in South Carolina. Instead of the usual studying, he found it much more useful to spend his nights writing and performing at bars around Charleston. Although he spent many years working on his music, it wasn’t until he moved to Atlanta that an album began to take shape.”
DUSTY from THE ROBODRUM was our guest on last week’s show. Great show! If you missed it please check it out: http://www.butterfliesradio.com/home/twitter-tuesday-live/ also check out my review of the show http://butterfliesradio.com/blog/?p=1938
“Chad Cavanaugh is a San Diego based singer/songwriter and a United States Army Infantry veteran/former Sentinel at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery. Since 2007, Chad has been sharing his music and stories with people from living rooms, classrooms, intimate venues and large stages (House of Blues, Belly Up Tavern). Chad has played on the same bill with international and nationally known artists such as Matisyahu and Matt & Kim and performed with such comedians as Faizon Love (Friday, Couples Retreat), Mark Christopher Lawrence (Pursuit of Happyness, Chuck) and Sarah Tiana (Reno 911).”
“Finally. After months of deliberation and a fair amount of procrastinating, The Song Swap 2 is here!
For those of you that don’t already know, the album is a compilation of all the songs recorded for season 2 of The Song Swap Podcast. So if you’re a fan of Lost In Holland, Matthew Landis, Sarah Donner, Avi Wisnia, Tony Cooksey, Jennings or Bosco and Peck this is the album for you. “

NYMPH HONEY – MANAGER /PROMOTER WANTED
by ROB WALKER
“I’ve been writing and performing in the industry for 16 years. Have had a few record deals but didn’t follow through with them as they didn’t feel right. After many failed bands I decided to go solo, so 5 years I started building my own studio and started writing and recording all my own music. I named it Nymph Honey. I never wanted to be a solo guy so I created Nymph Honey to make it appear to be a band.
I kept it quiet for 5 years until December 2011; I played my first solo show and promoted it as Rob Walker from Nymph Honey. I then started a facebook page on the 5th of December and since then I’ve picked the perfect members to play in NH. We released our first single on iTunes, a track I recorded by myself during the 5 year writing period and studio building. We made our first music video and have reached over 3000 likes on our facebook page. All this has been achieved in just over 4 months. We have fans world wide.
It’s getting quite full on being the sole driving force of Nymph Honey, I’d like to hear from any manager who see’s the potential in this project. Nymph Honey is constantly compared to INXS and it’s a positive thing as I’ve always written music for the United States music taste. INXS were one of the first big Australian bands to break the US market I’m hoping to follow in their footsteps.”
NEW SONGS ADDED TO THE BUTTERFLIES RADIO ROTATION
After today’s song additions, we are now fully caught up through March 1, 2012 for ALL music submissions. Thank you for your continued patience as we continue to work through the remaining songs. Currently, the backlog is at 342 songs waiting to be screened and/or added to rotation.
