AWAIT RESCUE – Guests on Butterflies Radio 14th August 2012

“Await Rescue, as a whole, can be summed up in a few short words: Rock, fighter jets, four piece, independent, wheelies, and powerful. They aren’t just a band; they are a demolition crew that thoroughly enjoys playing loud, aggressive music.
Await Rescue is a four-piece, independent Alternative/Progressive Rock band hailing from Boston. And by “independent” we don’t mean the catch-all music genre, we simply mean that we do everything ourselves, while making the loud Rock music that we want to hear. Our Rock quest began back in 2006, and our path has been guided by bands such as Foo Fighters, Incubus, A Perfect Circle, Deftones, QOTSA, The Mars Volta, Soundgarden, Uncle Ted Nugent, and all of the countless other forefathers of Rock n’ Roll that need not be repeated”

AWAIT RESCUE nearly didn’t happen today! They had a few problems getting Skype to work(that’s how we do things on Butterflies Radio). However, living up to their name, they awaited rescue as Mark (also referred to as GUNTER and sometimes CHOPPED LIVER) came to their rescue by giving them his old Skype name! Oh boy brings back memories of when he gave BOSCO and PECK his phone number! Anything could happen from here on!

Anyway, finally after all the panic, we were finally linked up through the wonders of the World Wide Web to enjoy the company of the BOSTON based rock band AWAIT RESCUE!

It doesn’t happen very often that we get all members of the band join us on the show together, so Mark and I felt very honoured today to have all four!
Joining us from the home of the RED SOX we had JOHN CUTULLE (I swear he is Meatloaf) on vocals COREY FYFE on Bass, Brothers ANDREW (Drew) MORSE on guitar and MATT MORSE on drums.

It was hard to take these guys seriously during the show. They were fun and the listeners that tuned in live enjoyed not only their awesome music but their great Boston sense of humour!

Hear how they found each other on Casual Encounter!

Learn their rituals before playing live on stage!

Find out about the dangerous species of animals that live in Australia!

Find out what AWAIT RESCUE would take on a deserted island in order to survive!

All this and more can be heard by listening to the show which is available for download from http://www.butterfliesradio.com/home/twitter-tuesday-live/

During the show we featured 3 of their songs all of which are featured on the BUTTERFLIES RADIO ROTATION

ALRIGHT -The push and pull of a budding relationship. Basically just drowning a woman with compliments until she caves.

BUILT TO ROAM -Try removing the skin you live in so comfortably and seeing life through a different set of eyes.

FOOL MY EYES  - Laughing in the face of ‘vultures’ and the false light that can sometimes blind you. Look alive and don’t be so quick to drop to your knees.
