it's, website, playing the, the one, the day
So, what have I done today???
For starters, I am working with Ratcliff Bailey to syndicate their weekly one-hour show, "The Westfield Alliance", which spotlights independent musicians. I am looking forward to playing the one hour show and will announce the day and time as soon as I have it worked out.
Then, I finally was able to put a little gadget on our main page which shows the current song playing, the number of current listeners and the streaming bitrate. (Ok that never changes, but it sounds good!)
And to round things off, I have created the Butterflies Radio Toolbar! I kept it simple. It does have a nice search engine built in. What good toolbar doesn't have search??? But, you can also follow us on Twitter AND launch the station stream without having to come to the website! (Hmm is that such a good thing - not having to come to the website??) When it's installed you will see the 4 major media players' icons in the toolbar! Just click on the one ya want and WALLAH!
It's free, it's secure and very cool! So, take us on the go! Install the toolbar today!
Now, it's time to call it quits for the day! I am exhausted! Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

every song, click, go, your, please
Well, it's been a pretty produdtive day!
As of today, every song that is played on Butterflies Radio is posted to our Twitter Page! So, if you're song is in our rotation, it's going to show there when it's played!
Butterflies Radio's presence is expanding. In addition to our own site, we are on FaceBook, MySpace, Twitter and Plurk. We will be joining more networks soon to build our exposure!
In the works: I am currently working with someone to build a script that will scan for newly uploaded MP3s on a daily basis and automatically add them to our rotation! Basically, that means that when you upload a song to our website, you are also adding it to the station - direct submission to the play list instead of having to email the songs to us!
Butterflies Radio will then TRULY be for AND by the Independent Musicians! What other radio station offers that????
I need to remind you all of this important step when submitting your music: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure the IDv3 settings are correct! I cannot go through and fix every song that comes to us. Your song title and artist name will appear exactly as you have submitted it. Simply right click on the mp3 and go to properties and then summary and click on the Advanced button to edit the song information!
Thank you all for being here and we look forward to growing with you!

Well, we are getting closer to the pre-launch of the Butterflies Radio Network.
We will be inviting all independent musicians to get signed up and create their pages before opening the website to the general public!
Stay tuned!
